Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery operations, ensuring safe and timely transport of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a warehouse environment. Experience with flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for the transportation of goods.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods safely, utilising appropriate equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, contributing to a smooth operational flow.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is essential.
- Familiarity with flatbed driving is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance is beneficial.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment will be an advantage.
