Purpose of the Job:
- To clear and transport goods as required; to ensure proper upkeep of Company vehicle.
Job Accountabilities:
- Deliver goods via a light vehicle, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several emirates.
- Receives instructions for clearing of goods and/or collection of goods with documents.
- Visits bank to obtain special clearance on cheques as necessary.
- Delivers/collects documents throughout UAE.
- Attends Traffic Dept to obtain registration certificates for new vehicles.
- For delivery of new vehicles from the workshop, performs receiving inspection.
- Assists at port with collection of vehicles as required.
- Drive long distances.
- Book car wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the car.
- Report to a dispatcher for any incidents encountered on the road.
- Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety.
- Using navigation apps to determine the best route.
- Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders.
- Ensures that the car is properly serviced and maintained.
- Comply and implement the local laws and client’s requirements related to QHSEMS aspects at workplace, as per the bestowed authority and responsibility.
- Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by line manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualifications & Education :Secondary school Certificate.
- Experience :Minimum 3years driving in Dubai of appropriate vehicle.
- Knowledge & Skills:-
- Ability to speak/read/write some English/Arabic/Hindi.
- UAE driving license in appropriate class.
- Familiarity with GPS devices.
