Roles & Responsibilities
Overview:
Assess, and repair customer’s vehicles, ensuring compliance with company’s standards while operating in a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receives the work and job card form the workshop supervisor.
- By receiving the job card, performs each requirement and ticks and signed the checklist before moving forward.
- Diagnosis and rectifies the defect and fixes the vehicle within the time allowed.
- If any parts are required to purchase, informs the Supervisor.
- Identify additional work and non-conformances. Rapidly communicates them to the supervisor and writes them down on the job card.
- Ensure the presentation of the vehicle viz. resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness.
- Applies the manufacturer’s directives and safety rules.
- Tidies up and cleans the work area, and all the tools used (individual or collective).
- Searches for information in the available documentation (technical manuals, repair booklets).
- Maintains the stock of tools and keeps them in proper condition.
- Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
- Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualifications & Education: Technical certificate or Diploma certificate in automobile.
- Experience: A minimum of 2years of experience as a mechanic within the heavy vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge & Skills: Working knowledge of English (able to read and interpret technical manuals, repair booklets).
