Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely operate light vehicles to transport goods and passengers, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels before each journey.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting passengers warmly and assisting them with their needs during transit.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents promptly, ensuring all incidents are documented and communicated to management.
- Plan efficient routes using GPS and maps to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and out, to promote a professional image and enhance passenger comfort.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Stay updated on local traffic laws and regulations, adapting to changes that may affect driving conditions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance driving skills and knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, showcasing responsibility and adherence to road safety standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience, indicating familiarity with local routes and logistics.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, enabling candidates to perform routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools, ensuring efficient route planning and timely deliveries.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the job.
