- Safely operate a delivery vehicle while adhering to traffic laws and company policies, ensuring timely arrival at destinations.
- Inspect the vehicle before each shift to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, utilizing appropriate equipment to minimize damage and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including tracking information and customer signatures, to ensure accountability.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption.
- Handle cash and electronic payments securely, following company protocols to safeguard financial transactions.
- Assist in training new delivery drivers on safety practices, company policies, and effective customer service.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to enhance customer satisfaction with every interaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, ensuring it represents the company positively at all times.
