Salary: AED 2,000 – AED 3,500

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct pre-trip safety inspection to include but not limited to; visually check for defects, check operating systems (breaks, horn, emergency flashers, lights and door opening device).
  • Prior to starting the engine check coolant, engine oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, power-steering fluid levels are to the maximum levels
  • Drive the vehicle safely over an assigned route, picking up and delivering only authorized students at assigned bus stops.
  • Keeps always assigned time schedules.
  • Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies
  • Report undisciplined students to the proper RAKA authority with written reports being submitted as requested in accordance with the school policies
  • Report all accidents immediately, requesting police or ambulance service as needed; assists injured persons until emergency services arrive
  • If qualified administrator first aid
  • Notify the proper RAKA authority in cases of mechanical failure, safety deficiencies, when off schedule, or other incidents
  • Perform related duties and follow procedures assigned by Line Manager
  • On occasions there may be a requirement to work irregular hours.
  • To ensure at the end of each journey no students are left or forgotten on the bus.
  • In case of accidents or a student requires medical treatment other than first aid, the Transport Supervisor should be contacted immediately to get instructions for safety actions to be taken

Team Management

  • Help the bus assistant to keep the bus clean
  • Students and teachers drive on field trips in and out of the city.
  • Cooperate with security guards on gates on trips

Developmental Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, neat appearance, appropriate position to position
  • Participating in Department meetings, training when required
  • Always being updated by the traffic laws and regulations.
  • Serve as optimal role model for students, colleagues, and the public
